Lavender Lucy is a talented and fun new band on the Seattle scene. Bluegrass Americana with a few yeehaws mixed in. Our first shoot was a mad rush against the sunset and chilling weather, but we pulled it off. What a swell group, Laura, Reese, Karen and Chonie! When faced with the task of coming up with a cover shot for The Bitter Roots new single, "More Pretty," I scratched and scribbled ideas for a few days and nothing seemed to click. Then the sun came out, Hurraahhhh!! As I threw the bra up and up, over and over, I only imagined what my neighbours could be thinking. And I chuckled a little bit when I realized that most of the angles of my backyard would obscure the fact that I had a camera and they probably just kept seeing this flying lingerie coming up over the hedge line.
